ET Solar lines up U.S. module distributor

Nanjing, China-based ET Solar Group said today it is partnering on its module distribution with Sacramento, Calif.-based US Solar Distributing.

ET Solar is a vertically integrated manufacturer of photovoltaic products, such as ingots, wafers, modules and tracking systems, and systems integrator. It has sales, marketing subsidiaries and offices throughout Asia, Europe and North America, providing its products to customers in more than 50 countries.

US Solar Distributing is a wholesale distributor of solar photovoltaic modules, inverters, mounting systems and accessories. Through its multiple distribution centers, it supplies complete systems to installers throughout the United States. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.

ET Solar said it expects to benefit from strong business growth through the partnership, without providing specifics.

Last year, ET Solar signed a deal with Italy’s Helios Technology to provide 15 megawatts of modules (see ET Solar to sell modules to Italy).

ET Solar also signed a 1-MW deal last year with California-based Premier Power Renewable Energy for dual-axis tracking systems (see ET Solar signs dual-axis tracking deal). ET Solar said the dual-axis tracking systems were jointly developed with Meca Solar, a European tracking system manufacturer. Each system has a peak power of more than 11 kilowatts and tracks the arc of the sun using an astronomical program.
