This year's extravaganza gathered another overwhelming 1,200 senior executives from the private equity and venture capital industry. Whether meeting as old friends or for the first time, general partners, institutional investors, consultants, and corporate, legal and accounting professionals from around Asia and the globe alike engaged in discussions on the current global financial situation and debated the ramifications for the private equity and venture capital industry as a whole. Keynote and plenary sessions were left with standing-room only each day, and the AVCJ forum once again conveniently served as the centerpiece of numerous investor conferences and meetings held by Asia's leading private equity and venture capital firms.
