Christmas Tree

" . . . which it said would generate more electricity in its first year than the tree lights will consume over the 42 days they will be illuminated."

So this is a good thing? It takes the solar panels a year to pay for the power used by the LEDs? How much did the Solar Panels cost?

LEDs, so far as I know, give off less light.

" . . . Tishman Speyer said it's replanting and re-greening the land where the tree came from, and that once the holiday season is over."

Ok in 30-40 years a "new" tree will be there to be used again. What about the next 30-40 Christmases?

" . . . from 3,510 kilowatt hours to 1,297 kilowatt hours per day." This has to be a drop in the bucket compared to what New York City spends on electricity. Yes, they're going real green in deed.

I would still want to know how much the solar panels cost as well as their installation costs.
