Water Innovation Summit 2013
September 10-11, 2013
Looking ahead, we foresee that 1) water pricing will increase to more realistic levels; 2) hidden costs will start to become more visible–-especially to corporations; and 3) businesses will start sweating the risks to reputation, product quality, up-time, and supply chain. The opportunities in water are huge, but so are the challenges and risks. This invitation-only executive summit brought together top investors, utility executives, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and public sector leaders to focus on three innovation themes: Smart water, Resource recovery, and water re-use, with the goal of creating actionable, concrete “to-dos” for the industry.
Cleantech Forum Europe
April 16-18, 2013
Re-imagining Cleantech: Unlocking Growth in an Open Innovation World
In 2013, Cleantech Forum gathered in Bilbao, Spain to explore the theme: “Re-imagining Cleantech: Unlocking Growth in an Open Innovation World,” in acknowledgement of where we are, where cleantech is, and where we want to be.
Attendees listened to some new voices, generated some new ideas, gained some new insights, and connected some new dots—between old industry and new innovation, between CSOs and start-up CEOs, between north and south, east and west.
The global energy and resources challenges that we face have never been bigger. From widespread blackouts in India to drought conditions in the United States, the stakes are clear. Yet at the same time that corporate business leaders around the world are finally connecting the dots that environmental innovation will be a fundamental driver of future profitability, technology investors are looking shell-shocked and nervous after a difficult stretch of company failures and weak public exits.
Alongside more than 700 cleantech professionals, we tackled this critical disconnect head-on at this unique, thought provoking, catalytic event.
From November 4-9, 2012, Cleantech Group will take 10-15 cleantech companies, along with a select few investors, corporate executives, and other key stakeholders in the ecosystem on a tour of Chinese cleantech hotspots – and facilitating introductions with key leaders. This tour will provide the cleantech CEOs with an excellent taste of cleantech in China as it is today, as well as the opportunity to expose their companies to multiple China-based investors and partners interested in acquiring, investing in, and helping them ‘go to China.’
