  • Be a thought leader:
    • Develop opinions and insights on a range of clean technology topics, challenge team to drive analytical insights, provide coaching as well as developing an independent voice
    • Present and share our research with media, at global events and to clients
    • Develop and articulate a vision for how to decarbonize major industries, and the role of innovation in this transformation
  • As member of senior leadership team, identify new revenue opportunities/products & services for Cleantech Group.
  • Actively manage the growing analyst team across multiple industry sectors and geographies
    • Work with analysts, client managers and management to develop and deliver a research agenda and publication schedule
    • Continuously improve our research and analysis, proposing new ways to analyze industries and expose key trends and data points
  • Provide final QA to client ready insight publications and client briefings, applying best practice research frameworks.
    • Create and manage standards for deliverable templates, multi-client initiatives, and client retention best practices
    • Develop and manage an active ongoing training schedule
  • Collaborate effectively across Cleantech Group, inter alia:
    • Collaborate with Marketing to develop content for our marketing channels, including our blogs
    • Coordinate with Consulting to maximize expertise of analysts while minimizing disruption to research schedule
    • Collaborate with our Events team to have the research team produce effective live sessions for our global events program


  • BA/BSc & 10 years+ working experience
  • Project & Team Management experience, demonstrated experience working with analysts, providing feedback/training and support analytical growth
  • Demonstrated profile and thought leadership in the cleantech space is highly desirable, at a minimum in another innovation space/theme.
  • Experience in writing, editing and managing major research publications and client deliverables
  • Experience presenting insights and publications to the media and research community
  • Ability to oversee research team to efficiently work toward deadlines
  • Excellent written and PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Some limited travel will be required
  • Fluent English required, additional languages desired to support global primary research
