FreshToHome, the developer of a home delivery service for fresh produce and meat, raised $121 million in a growth equity round from Investment Corporation of Dubai, Investcorp, Development Finance Corporation, Ascent Capital, Allana Group and Iron Pillar. The India based company aims to expand within India and to the UAE after successful pilots in 2017.
Energy & Power
Angaza Design, the provider of affordable pay-as-you-go financing plans for household lighting and charging products, raised $13.5 million in a Series B round led by KawiSafi Ventures, with Total Carbon Neutrality Ventures, Ajax Strategies, Emerson Collective, Rethink Impact and Salesforce Ventures. The solution is available in 50 countries and is based around a mobile app, allowing distributors to keep track of sales and collect payments.
Materials & Chemicals
Unisieve, the developer of molecular sieving membranes for liquid and gas separation, raised $4.6 million seed funding from Wingman Ventures, European Innovation Council and Climate-KIC. The membranes allow for waste and emission reduction, alongside lower operational costs. The new funds will enable for piloting and scaled-up production.
Resources & Environment
Sinai Technologies, the developer of AI-based software designed to measure, price and reduce the carbon footprint of organizations, secured $3.8 million from Afore Capital, Abstract Ventures, Coelius Capital and others. The platform leverages operational data to set baselines and determine mitigation options that are both financially and environmentally optimal.
Transportation & Logistics
Onfleet, the developer of last-mile logistics platforms for multiple industries, received $14 million in Series A funding from Kennet Partners. The delivery management software combines an intuitive user interface with route optimization for an optimized supply chain. The funding will allow for global expansion, as well as further product development.
