Programs & Indexes
Our indexes highlight the leading publicly-listed companies, the rising stars among private companies, and the countries producing the next generation of innovation start-ups. Benchmarks and surveys are also useful tools for identifying comparative best practices: for countries, companies, development agencies, and other organizations who want quantifiable comparisons as a basis for growth.
Global Cleantech 100
The GCT100 (the Global Cleantech 100) is a list of the top 100 private companies in clean technology. Published annually and collated by combining proprietary CTG’s research data with 9,000+ nominations and specific input from an expert panel, the companies on this list represent an annual reading on who the market players regard as the most promising stars in sustainable innovation—the companies that are best positioned to solve tomorrow’s clean technology challenges.
The Cleantech Index® is the first, and only, stock market index intended to reflect the surging demand for clean technology products and services. By tracking the market performance of leading publicly traded cleantech companies around the world, CTIUS has become the industry standard index underlying a growing range of financial products, such as exchange traded funds.
The Global Cleantech Innovation Index explores which countries currently have the greatest potential to produce entrepreneurial cleantech start-ups that will commercialize clean technology innovations over the next 10 years. The most recent Index and accompanying report were released in 2017, published in partnership with World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF).
